This is widely uneducated assumption because there is no reason to assume that someone is gay based only on the clothes they wear, the way they talk, or their demeanor. The whole family is accepting of Cam and Mitchell, and they don’t treat them any differently than they treat each other. A modern family is exactly what the episodes are about, maybe not every family is this diverse, but there are many people in the world who could relate this television show to their own life.
Racism is also still a problem in our world today. It is not as bad as it once was, but it still exists. There is also stereotypes that go along with racism, for example in the episode that I watched, Jay is installing security cameras and it happens to be on the same day that a black family was moving in across the street. He immediately feels that the family will think that they are the reason he is getting the cameras installed. Instead of talking to them first off, he tries some different things to show them that he is not a racist, such as inviting his black friend over to his house to show that he likes black people and even listening to a certain kind of music by …show more content…
The new neighbor knows exactly what he is going to say because it is not the first white neighborhood they have moved into.

Columbian woman, and they have two sons. There is no trouble with race in the family, they act as if there is no difference between them which sets good examples for viewers that just because their skin is different does not mean that you should treat them any differently.
Movies and television shows influence so many young people as they grow up watching these shows. Television shows like Modern Family are comedies, but they also send a deeper message. By showing all the racial and sexuality differences, the episodes send the message that it is okay to be different. Watching an episode like this could have the impact to
