The sky was ablaze but this was a different kind of fire. A warm fire, one that enveloped me and gave hope that we would no longer be afraid and no longer be scared. We stepped out of the shade of the barn and climbed over the ridge. We could all see one thing, men in dull gray uniforms running out of the city.
