Chopin wrote “Mrs. Sommers one day found herself the unexpected possessor of fifteen dollars” it does not say how she got the money but the story goes on. Self.” and this is what Mrs. Sommers did. She was able to buy new stockings, new shoes, go to a restaurant, a movie and buy a ticket on the train. Which you could look at this situation and say that she was selfish, yes, but she is with her kids all day at home, and for once she was able to get out of the house and have a day to herself.
