The Great War World War 1 was sparked by the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, who was the royal prince of Austro-Hungarian. This pinned the Central powers(Germany, Austro-Hungarian and, The Ottoman Empire) against the Allied powers(Russia,Great Britain, France, and Serbia). Many countries around the world blamed Serbian government for the attack of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, Serbian government funded the weapons for the assassination of a royal. Despite the assassination the three main causes of World War 1 was Nationalism, Militarism, and Alliance. Nationalism was an important part in World War 1. Nationalism is an extreme form of patriotism
