I don’t enjoy reality shows. I mean I can see why other people like them, but to me they aren’t entertaining. I feel like American reality shows aim for comedy through people’s unbelievable idiocy and extreme mood swings. When I watch something like The Real House Wives of ¬¬___ , Jersey Shore, Keeping up with the Kardashians made me furious. All I saw was entitled, rich, and privileged men and women who think they are actually important act stupid and start drama for ratings. Honestly, I don’t think anyone in a reality show could ever experience a fulfilling and happy life. However, I see why people like it. People like seeing unscripted drama and idiocy. To most people it is entertainment and honestly I guess its entertaining. Reality shows have had a huge impact on cultures around the world. Everyone knows the name Kim Kardashian, or back in the day Snooki, shows how far reaching the influence of reality shows is on our everyday lives. I feel like both articles point to the fact that reality shows are only going to rise in popularity and will probably be the one thing to stay through all types of
