The Truman Show is a hidden camera reality television show based on Truman
Burbank, the movie's main protagonist. Truman is unaware that throughout his entire life he has been filmed with hidden cameras and broadcasted to the entire world 24/7. Unexplainable events begin to occur, causing Truman to grow suspicious of the world that he lives in. All of his followed attempted to escape or find answers and terminated and he is left trapped in Seahaven.
Sequence 14 of The Truman Show begins with a shot of Truman in his mirror pretending that he is a space man. Following on from that we see Truman continue on with his ‘normal’ daily routine, that we have previously seen as a predictable and exact daily occurrence, as if everything is normal once again and all previous suspicion thoughts of his world are now going from his mind. As the other techniques related to the war and Truman being a prisoner of war I believe that one of the main themes about this film is imprisonment. In sequence 13 while Christof is doing a live interview he tell the audience that Traman is not trapped in Seahaven and he is free to leave anytime that he wants to but as we see by the action of Christof he was lying when he said that. In this scene we especially get to see the truth about what Christof said as it shows some of the most intense and extreme extents that he was willing to go to to prevent Truman from leaving. The existence of the Truman Show revolves around Truman remaining in Seahaven it's why the cast and crew try so hard to ensure he remains imprisoned here. If Truman escapes from the dome he is trapped in then they will all be out of their jobs. The power power was always in Truman's hands he Justus needed to learn how to use
