She seems pretty nice. (Yes, we're talking about an elephant here.)The two humans dance for a brief moment before Marlena stops them, and they go back to her part of the train.August comes in and he's furious: Al paid way too much for the elephant, in his opinion, and they don't know what to do with her. Plus, Al hired more people with nowhere to put them, so everyone's going to have to crunch, and morale will be low.Demoralized, they all drink a huge amount of whiskey. (Not the best coping mechanism, we'd say.)Drunk, Jacob makes his way back to his room. On his way, he passes two people getting hot and heavy outside. When he gets to his car, Kinko is hosting a large, raucous party. Jacob is invited to join, and the drinking only gets worse.Jacob is hammered when two women, Barbara and Nell, come over to and start hitting on him. They take him somewhere else and start undressing him and touching him. Things are getting pretty intense when Jacob throws up all over everything. Wow, way to ruin the moment (although we're kind of glad he did). The next day, Jacob wakes up hurting. Kinko comes to get him – August is looking for him. Turns out, Jacob has been dressed up like a clown and shoved into a big chest. Plus, someone shaved off all his hair (down there). Talk about a circus prank. He's super embarrassed and has to leave the room looking very strange.Jacob heads back to his room and can't stop thinking…
Bella often times feels like the happiest “person” alive throughout the beginning of this portion and is highly discouraged when Alice sees a vision of the Volturi coming to kill the Cullens because they believe that Renesmee is an immortal child. Alice and Jasper leave and tell the family to find as many witnesses as possible. Alice also leaves behind clues for Bella that are used to find J. Jenks, a man who is highly acquainted with the Cullen family and is willing to make illegal passports, birth certificates, and a driver’s license for Jacob and Renesmee. The plan is to pack a backpack full of these items and money for Renesmee, and when the Volturi are distracted the two will flee. Bella is constantly saddened by the possibility of loss in her family, however when Eleazar, one of the witnesses, reveals that she is a shield, she practices her power with all her might in hopes of mastering it enough to keep her, her family, and the witnesses they had found safe. When the time comes for the Volturi to strike, Bella uses the strong anger and passion for others within as her source for the…

Today is the day. The day where the Mockingjay unites with another to continue their lives together. Mother and I walk back to what’s left of the Seam, knowing it is a place worthy of a wedding. I found the dresses Cinna left behind for the forced wedding. Now, with Coin and Snow dead, nothing feels forced. I can hunt freely outside the District Limits put in place by the Peacekeepers. I can give to the poor what I catch, and I can make sure everyone is equal. I chose the least popular dress for the moment because I wanted to resist the Capitol to the maximum I could. I hate them for everything they did. Not just the military officials, everyone there. Taking all our resources and killing us off without a just reason. That’s why everyone needs a guiding light. And to me, Peeta’s light shines the brightest. He’s the reason I’m still alive. Because he risked himself to be captured by the Capitol so I would be safe. And only him will I trust to lead me into happiness.…

The Great Awakening arose at a time of questioning how an individual’s role manifested itself in religion and society. These ideas were brought about by Henry Thoreau and John Locke during the Enlightenment Era, which emphasized reason and logic and it allowed for one to realize the power of the individual and to view the universe in the light of scientific law. In response to the current Enlightenment ideas the Great Awakening went against these current popular beliefs and affirmed that in order to be truly religious one must feel and think with their heart and not so much their head. Although the Enlightenment Era was one of quarrel and question, The Great Awakening unified colonists and helped to set boundaries further in the separation of church and state.…

I have just finished reading Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead and if I do say so myself, this book was a very interesting read. I have to praise Miss. Mead for keeping the suspense alive throughout the novel and toying with the idea of what a vampire is, which I created in my gothic novel, Dracula. I also admire her addition of “Dhamphirs” to the vampire genre and the names that she endowed these mystical creatures, like “Moroi” and “Strigoi”. I commend her various additions to the history of vampires that Van Helsing touched on when he was explaining the powers of a vampire to Jonathan and Mina Harker, Quincey Morris, Dr. Seward, and Lord Godalming.…
