The Umbrella Revolution has been a hit issue no matter in Hong Kong or around the globe. News of the Umbrella Revolution has been widely reported in different counties recently. From my observation, I found that the news value, selection criteria and perspectives are different among newspapers from local and global news agencies. Renmen Ribao did not actually locate the one-month mark of the revolution, its headline of that day was ‘簽名反佔中市民已超80萬’ (Over 800K residents sign for anti-occupying).
