In Tobak’s article he says, “Men work longer hours than women do.” (2.) This is not saying that women do not work, but that men are willing to work longer than required sometimes or simply working overtime. Men, for example, like to keep busy, work harder for more money so they can make their trucks louder. Whereas woman do not want to make their car louder, but simply stay home or hangout with friends. In Tobak’s article he mentions, “Men are far more likely to choose careers that are more dangerous.” (1.) Men are more likely to choose jobs that sometimes involve danger, while women like to know what to expect every day. Men like to get their hands dirty, feel a little adrenaline, and wonder about the “what ifs” were as women like to stay clean, stay calm, and know what to expect. In Hegewisch and Hartmann’s article they say, “sex and race discrimination in the workplace shows that outright discrimination in pay, hiring, or promotions continues to be significant feature of working life” Clarifying that men and women are being organized by their sex and color, discrimination was supposedly over a long time ago but that is a lie. For example there is a group a people and a judge. The judge will tell people what he thinks they are; a dark man is called forward and told he was a thug, a Chinese is called forward and told she was a doctor, a talk white man is called forward and told he was a construction worker, and last a white woman is called forward and told she was a receptionist. When really these people were nothing that they were told; the dark man was a cop, the Chinese woman was librarian, the tall white man was a veterinarian, and the white woman was a big business
