Everyone died other than Liesel Meminger, Max Vandenburg and Alex Steiner. Everyone and everything Liesel loved was gone, which ruined her life. In The War Horse, many of Albert’s friends were killed while going over the trench. Albert’s friend David was injured, but Albert brought him to safety. The mass death of people made many people angered. The war was very cruel on many people and could have been prevented. Greed over land lead to World War 1, and World War 2 could have been prevented if we wouldn’t have been so hard on Germany after World War 1. Germany was angered because we made them pay for all the damages during the war, and they lost a lot of their land.
