The water cycle consists of three major processes, condensation, evaporation and precipitation. Condensation is the process of a gas changing to a liquid, water vapor condenses, turns into a gas and then clouds form. Two influences of this process are air pressure and the sun.
Another process is called evaporation, evaporation happens when a liquid's surface changes to a gas. Another way to describe evaporation is when liquid water evaporates and becomes water vapor. Evaporation is driven by the sun, when the water transforms into water vapor, that is a result of the sun interacting with liquid water. Evaporation is also influenced by wind, temperature, and the density of the body of water.
The last major process of the water cycle is precipitation, precipitation is when water falls from the sky in the form of rain, snow, sleet or hail. Another way to describe …show more content…
We could do this by fixing leaks or trying to prevent them before they happen. We could turn off the water faucet while we brush our teeth instead of letting it run. We could take shorter showers and minimize toilet flushing as well. People can survive on much smaller quantities of water than the average person uses. Like I mentioned before, every living thing on earth needs water to survive and if we carelessly use up our water, we won't be able to survive. So in conclusion, the water cycle benefits us greatly and we need to do as much as we can and cut back our water usage as much as we can to keep our water cycle intact and
