The Wischmeyer Family

Melora (Mother): Works from home marketing job
John (Father): Works away from home as a marketing representative
Ashlyn (daughter) (age 4)
Alaia (daughter) (age 4)
Jared (son) (age 9) *Ashlyn and Alaia are twins

The setting takes place in the Wischmeyer home. In the submission video the mother, Melora introduced her and Johns three children Ashlyn, Alaia, and Jared. Melora said Alaia is the youngest twin that screams, kicks, and hits. Melora said John and her have more problems with Alaia then they do with Ashlyn.

Melora said Ashlyn is the older twin and she doesn’t sleep at night. Melora said Ashlyn always has an excuse to get out of bed at night. When Melora and John try to get Ashlyn in bed Ashlyn starts throwing

Always give the child a warning first.
1. Come down to child’s level
2. Make eye contact and let the child know the behavior is not acceptable
3. Use authoritative voice
4. Send child to naughty corner then move away
5. Get the child to apologize

Supernanny addressed the problems with Jared and introduced the idea of a thought box. A box he can put his ideas and feelings into. Each night she asked Melora to sit down with Jared and talk about the things in the box together. Jared said he thought it was a good idea and smiled. Jared said he would be able to talk to his mother Melora without interrupting the girls.

Next, they move on to bedtime with the twins Ashlyn and Alaia. Super Nanny stays in bed technique. It took the parents 45 minutes to get the twins to sleep.
1. Say goodnight, tuck child in bed

Melora asked Alaia to go in timeout. Melora did not get to her eye level and Melora held her in the corner. Melora and Alaia start yelling at each other.
It was bedtime at 8:00pm John tried to put the twins Ashlyn and Alaia to bed. John kept returning to the bedroom, giving the girls what they asked for and not following the list Super Nanny gave the family. Super Nanny returns to the home and addressed the things that went wrong.

While Super Nanny was there to observe for the 2nd time Melora started standing up for Jared. Instead of putting the blame on him, Melora addressed the situation with the twins Ashlyn and Alaia. Super Nanny worked on Melora tone of voice with her, and how timeout should work. Bedtime with the Ashlyn and Alaia took less time with Super Nanny around. The twins only came out of their bedtime three times.

After Supernanny left John and Melora said they have more control over their three children. Melora is not lying in the bed every night with Alaia and Ashlyn. Melora and Jared are now communicating. Melora said they family is now happier because of Super
