The Wright Brothers: Why Did They Fly?
The Wright brothers were actually the ''first'' people to fly. Some other people flew first, but they failed, so scientists didn't count their experiments. The Wright made an airplane that resisted more than the other ones and had wheels, that's the reason why they were successful. They were the first to fly, but not to do an airplane and that is a fact.
Historians know that the Wright weren't the first to fly, but they were the first SUCCESSFUL people to fly. People like Hiram Maxim, Clement Ader, Karl Jatho, and Augustus Moore Herring, for example flew first than the Wright. These people might have flew first than the Wright, but they failed and the design of their airplanes were the main reason because of their fail.
If you are going to fly an airplane the design of your airplane is really important. When you are going to operate a machine you should how to operate it before you TRY to make sure it works. Some people say that know how to operate something, just by seeing how other people operate it. Other example for what I am trying to say is that people, when they design their own machine maybe they forget some details or they do it in a more complex way and it ends up on a disaster or just do something wrong. What other people forgot the Wright brothers did it and that was why they succeeded. Yeah, I know what you are saying right now ''So, the airplane wasn't invented at the 20th century?'', let me tell you that no, the airplane was invented much more before then in the 20th century, but the first people to fly succeeded at the 20th century. So Da Vinci invented the airplane and centuries after that people tried to do other types of airplanes and the Wright brothers become the first people to
