Thefbomb Essay

For this assignment, the blog I choose was Thefbomb. I choose this website because I find it interesting how people my age, current or rising college students, are approaching feminisms and becoming aware of what is happening. Thefbomb is true to their word of being “a blog/community created by and for teen and college-aged women and men who care about their rights and want to be heard.” It is true to its word because of the way the page is set up, the main page has recent news/articles, and then there are tabs set up that categorize it all into different sections. But it’s not just that but the page also allows for others to contribute to the page. There is even a creative page to poems and personal stories. This website is aimed towards
On the side bar it does have links to other websites, under the title advocacy. Which I assume if for websites that the page advocates for. The list includes Amplify, Girl Zone, Planned Parenthood, and Scenarios USA. The Amplify link lead to page not found but the main page worked fine, so I’m not sure what its true purpose was. Girl zone was a nice site directed towards girls that had categoires such as hair tutorial, workout, just quick, basic information for girls and some quizzes. The Planned Parenthood page just lead to the official website, and Scenarios USA was an organization page. The links were just links with no further description on Thefbomb website. At the bottom of every article it has “you might also like” links. And it just links within the website itself. Also on the sidebar it has a section called “Feminist” that includes hyperlinks to other feminist pages such as Bitch magazine blog, feminist.com, LGBTQ friendly colleges and resources, Girls Inc., and so much more. They can be extremely helpful to readers if they want other sources. Or if Thefbomb isn’t giving them the information they need. I don’t know if the sites listed were paid or anything, or they might be there just to be there because the author likes them and finds them
