Theme Of Commandments In Animal Farm

The Commandments of the Italian soldiers directly correlate to the events that had taken place in the novel, Animal Farm. In both Animal Farm and the lives of Italian soldiers under the leadership of Benito Mussolini, the agenda and well-being of the leader was considered of higher importance. Throughout the novel the animals are exploited by their leader, Napoleon, and the other pigs using a common theme expressed in the Commandments of the Italian soldiers.

Throughout the novel, despite the promise of equality for all animals, pigs were taking advantage of the animals for their own benefit, especially the leader Napoleon. Napoleon's safety and well-being was above all the greatest interest for the farm, similarly one of the Commandment
Two Commandments that conveyed this idea included one that stated, "conscious and complete obedience is the virtue" and " days of imprisonment are always deserved." In novel, through manipulation, animals confessed to various crimes for which they were executed. He was able to catch the dog to deflect the attack, but, " looked at Napoleon to know whether or not he should crush the dog to death or let it go." Displaying a high level of commitment on Boxer's behalf.
