However, Goody Proctor showed her care and love for her husband although she carried suspicious as well. In Act 2 Elizabeth tells John that Abigail “wants [her] dead” (Miller 170) because Abigail is jealous of Elizabeth and wants John Proctor. Proctor is loyal to Elizabeth because he tries not to run off with Abigail.
