Theseus was praised when he got home. He was considered a warrior and a hero because of the society they were in. Killing demonic creatures was a sign of bravery and honor. They thought Theseus did the right thing. But to the god Dionysus, what Theseus did was wrong. He was a coward for using an innocent girl to get what he wants. Dionysus feels this way because he saw how upset the princess was when Theseus left her on the island. He sees the princesses side of the story. I personally think that what Theseus did was wrong. He used someone to get ahead. He did not even feel any remorse for what he did. The story says as Theseus was sailing away, “from the deck of the ship came the sound of laughter - cold, hard laughter” (2). Theseus was proud of what he did. When a person hurts others feelings intentionally, what that person did in my opinion, should be considered wrong.
