What is your thesis statement? Hate Crimes have been around for years, and with the recent rise in them much can be done to reduce this type of crime.
I. Introduction …. Hate Crimes are offenses like murder, robbery, or vandalism with the intent of discriminating against someone. These crimes are normally violent and intended to discriminate against someone else because of their race, color, or gender and more commonly now, their social groups. The term hate crime is defined as, “one that involves threats, harassment, or physical harm and is motivated by prejudice against someone's race, color, religion, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation or physical or mental disability.” There is nothing new about these types of acts, they have been around for many years. Recently, there have been a major increase in hate crimes.
