I think that Thoreau makes some good points about civil disobedience in his writing. And I think that if more countries would go by these points, then a lot of the world’s most major and disturbing problems would be solved. Here are his main points:
-Thoreau prefers a “neutral” government, but he does not mean for the government to be set aside. Rather than that he “wants” a better government.
- Most of the people, serve the government mechanically and do not exercise moral judgment about what they’re doing.
- It is our duty and obligation to not do wrong and to understand that we cannot pursue our dreams and cannot accomplish our goals if we’re hurting someone else.
