Grillo’s first violent attack with a weapon changed him. In addition, before the incident, he use to just fight, with his hands. Once he got into an altercation with a weapon he changed the way he carried himself. Furthermore, Grillo got tired with just reacting when not everything needed a reaction. He wanted to focus more on what was going on around him. For example, “... I felt disjointed, out of balance,tired of just acting and reacting. I wanted to flirt with the depth of mind, to learn more about my world. My society”(p. 113).
