The word itself holds definitions that can be interpreted and perceived in many different ways. The most common of them all is the bond that is formed between people of a nation. The harmony that is formed between people is important not just for the benefit of the country as a whole but also to each of these individuals. If Malaysians did not believe in the saying ‘united we stand, divided we fall,’ we would never have been the country to produce world’s best athletes. The word harmony also symbolises unity among organisms of the varied genus, quite contrary to the popular belief that this elusive aspect can only be taken into the account of people from different ethnic groups. The diversified nature of our country Malaysia, be it flora, fauna or the people has made it a nation which is known for its multifaceted culture, strata and social norms. It is fascinating how Malaysia has become a paragon to how man and nature live interdependently even though we are widely diversified with far-fetched origins.
