Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: Film Review
Charlie and the chocolate factory Good morning Ms Au and classmate. Today I would like to introduce a film called Charlie and the chocolate factory. Are you a chocoholic? If yes, i really recommend you to watch this film. This film is talk abut a Charlie Bucket is a kind, loving boy who lives in poverty with his mother, father, and four bedridden grandparents. His mother is unemployed and his father works at a toothpaste factory, responsible for putting the caps on the tubes of toothpaste that come through the line. Down the street is Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, which had recently been reopened after industrial espionage forced him into seclusion and to fire his employees. Charlie's Grandpa Joe had worked for Wonka directly and was laid off when that happened.

One day, Wonka announces a contest; the children that find the five Golden Tickets wrapped in ordinary Wonka candy bars will be given a full tour of the factory and a chance for an unknown grand prize. Four children quickly claim their prize: the greedy and gluttonous Augustus Gloop from Düsseldorf, the spoiled and rotten Veruca Salt from Buckinghamshire, the competitive and boastful Violet Beauregarde from Atlanta, and the arrogant and aggressive Mike Teavee from Denver. Charlie hopes to win as well, but neither the bar he is given as a birthday present nor the one bought for him by Grandpa Joe contains a ticket. A fifth child in Russia claims to have found the last Ticket. Charlie, on finding a ten-dollar bill, buys a Wonka bar as news breaks that the Russian child's Ticket was fake; Charlie finds the bar he just bought contains the last Golden Ticket. Bystanders attempt to buy it from him, but with the shopkeeper's help, he returns home with the ticket. Grandpa George reminds Charlie that money is far more common than the Tickets, and convinces Charlie to keep it. Grandpa Joe offers to accompany him on the factory tour.

On the day of the tour, the children and their chaperons find Wonka to be

    2) Much of the beginning of our film is spent learning more of Charlie and also introduces Susan Orlean, author of "The Orchid Thief". Charlie seems to have developed a writer's block with his screenplay as well as with his life. Unable to rationally think and with very little self confidence we watch as Charlie desperately tries to sort out his "simple" adaptation of the book. The inciting incident of our film, to me, was when Charlie's twin brother Donald Kaufman decides he also would like to be a screen writer. Charlie finds him to be an annoyance and doesn't seem to be very supportive of his brother's ideas and methods of writing. Charlie believes that no self help book or seminar can possibly teach one person to write an amazing script. Some dramatic irony is introduced as Charlie receives a phone call from his agent exclaiming how brilliant Donald's script is. Irony at its greatest, an amateur…

Jeremy, Lucy’s Famous Chocolate Scene was great to watch again. Berlinger (2015) stated that this is a good illustration of how people make rapid judgments in response to changing conditions at work, devising workarounds – shortcuts, fixes, patches – to bridge the gap between the rules of work and what’s actually happening. I have had to think about your questions regarding any scenarios in which you felt the patient was coerced by a medical provider in which his or her autonomy taken away? Or provide an example of a physician or healthcare team member causing an ethical dilemma for a nurse? Or examples of nursing shortcuts that can/have cause(d) patient harm? I had to think hard on this one.…

“My name is mine to know, and for you to guess,” the little man said. “I will spin this straw into gold for you, if you give me all your children.” Charlie considered that for a moment and then reluctantly agreed. He seemed to glow a little brighter from that, obviously very happy with their, or in this case his, deal. The little man walked over to the spinning wheel and turned to the straw.…

The homecoming musical performed this year, in the Shaw Center Auditorium, was Little Shop of Horrors. Being part of the crew, gave me the opportunity to see the play grow from rehearsing on an empty stage, to what was presented on opening night. However, I only had one opportunity to seat in the audience and see the entire play on Thursday, September 19th. Not knowing much about the play before that night, I was very surprised about everything that happened. Everyone I thought was important ended up dead, and I wasn’t expecting that. But I really liked it, because it had that surprise factor that made me jump off my seat a couple of times. Also, it was well structured, making it easy to understand what led to every situation and the characters gave live to every scene making the musical exciting and funny, which kept me interested until the end.…

A Christmas Carol, both the play and the movie, have many similarities with just as many differences. Although the movie was created as a follow-up to the play, there were many times where the movie was completely different. On occasion, there would be times where you could follow along to the movie with the script, but most of the time, it would be somewhat the same. The script compared to the movie is more informing and fills in empty holes. Although watching the movie is easier, in order to get all of the facts straight, it would be better to read the script or see the play.…
