Age Discrimination Act of 1967. Prohibits public and private employers from discriminating in area of employers against people age 40 or older. Exceptions are permitted if age is a confide occupational qualification. As an employee there is a sense of protection that, I will not be discriminated upon because of my old age.
Equal employment opportunity act of 1972 amended title VII. Strengthens EEOC’s enforcement power. Intended coverage to government employees and employee in higher education and other employers and employees.
