Life in the Treetops by T.K. Muttaki informational Essay

In “Life of the Treetops,” T.K. Muttaki, raised in the “hidden village” Tree Town U.S.A., has made a name for themselves by making their career doing what they love most, which is making TreeTops for a living. (1)
In this article, T.K. Muttaki establishes credibility by informing the reader why they build treehouses for a living. (2)
First, in paragraph 4, sentence 1, the author, T.K. Muttaki explains that they have a background in making Treetops. In the quote, ” I spent five summers engineering the “perfect treehouse” and “I fabricated what I thought were elaborate additions - one per summer - until my friends and I had a genuine five-room condo.” (3). …show more content…

Second, in paragraph 6, sentence 1, the author explains that treehouses replace traditional homes because they are more environmentally friendly as shown in the quote, “Environmentally friendly alternative to traditional construction” and have “minimal impact living spaces.” (5).
This quote represents that traditional houses are worse than TreeTops because of the excess material and space required to make a home, rather than a Treetop that manages its space more efficiently. (6)
Third, in paragraph 10, sentence 2, the author, T.K. Muttaki states that their “TreeTops” are not suitable for harsh weather conditions as shown in the quote, “As much as I love treehouses”. I have to admit, they are not perfect. (7)
For one thing, they are intolerant to extreme weather. Without a basement, a treehouse would be unsafe during a tornado.” (8).
This quote shows that the author is trustworthy because he is obligated to tell the truth about his Treetop by stating that it isn’t perfect as it can’t resist harsh weather conditions.
