To What Extent Should Assault Weapons Be Banned

Assault weapons should need to be banned. Once again our country is becoming at risk again, due to the assault weapons putting people's lives at risk. A assault weapon is a weapon such as a gun; a gun is a very harmful weapon. A assault weapon can be very dangerous to any living thing on Earth. Once someone pulls the trigger they can immediately harm another human. This could be an accident or on purpose but either way assault weapons are treacherous. People want a gun they don’t need a gun.. Therefor, Assault weapons should be banned.
Having assault weapons in the U.S increases the amount of lives being put at risk. People these days won’t be able to go somewhere with knowing if they are safe or not. That shouldn’t be the case, people should be able to go places knowing that their safety mostly secure. Too many people are dieing due to assault weapons, everyone should help put a stop to this disgrace. “Sixteen people died in a shootout in the countries in the south-west hours before Obama arrived for the talks.” (Anne Davis) Now, that this shootout occurred 16 people are dead, now their families and friends lost a loved one. Imagine someone child finding out that their mother or father
has died. How would that child go on with their life without any parents because someone shot them by mistake or on purpose. Our society needs to put an end to this before it becomes way out of hand. Many years from now this could be way worse than today. Not only is the government putting U.S citizens at risk but they are also putting the president’s life on the line. Every country needs a president, without a president our lives would be a tragedy. People go to a store that sells assault weapons, then they get a permit but then they turn their back and cause a scene and put many people in danger. Even with the owners of the assault weapon knowing the rules of an assault weapon, certain people do not know how to use the rules of owning this treacherous weapon. Due to someone's misbehavior now people have either died or got injured. Now, if the assault weapons ban happens it will decrease the amount of lives being at risk. Buying an assault weapon gives people the power to take a person away from another human being. Gang's use many innocent people to buy them dozens of assault weapons. Without any assault weapons there would be no reason to use other people to have them buy guns for a gang member. Knowing that gangs are using people to get them to buy the sinful person guns, is not safe.The gang members may have to put their lives on the line or threaten the innocent person.When a gang person uses an innocent person to get them to buy guns for the not so innocent person may involve lies, if a person cannot buy the guns themselves they may be hiding something or planning an event that is dangerous. Many believe that being able to have an assault makes them safe. If a person has an assault weapon with them they can use it for safety by either protecting them or threatening the adversary. Also, if the other person has a gun to the their head they can easily fight back if they have their weapon handy. Not only can they use this weapon to protect them but they can use it to protect their family. After all, the person they thought wasn’t innocent, they actually were. Now, if they already shot the person they most likely cannot get their lives back. Although people shouldn’t pull pranks like scaring a person but it happens. Say if a person was pulling a prank on somebody and the person took it seriously and shot the other person, they may feel really bad because of what they did. Assault weapons should be banned.
People who own assault weapons do not follow the rules, instead they hurt themselves or others. People who own these weapons are putting others lives on the line. Many believe that it is helpful to own this terrifying weapon they may be right in a few ways but in other ways they are extremely wrong. “A shooting in Atlanta occurred and injured six student” (Rosenblatt, Roger). To explain, this shows that six children are dead due to somebody's disadvantage. A child is supposed to go to their school and be safe and at least come back home alive. It’s understandable why people may think that a shootout wouldn’t have occurred if the school had higher security. Even if a school had higher security this still would have occurred, there is always a
way.
