He now felt convinced that all he had heard and seen was no illusion. Tom had been thinking a lot about his choice. Did he really need the money? Would his wife be thankful for it? Deep down he knew that making a deal with the The Devil was wrong but over all of that, he wanted the money to live the life they never had. Maybe with all this money him and his wife wouldn't argue over everything. They could live a happy life with a beautiful house and not have to worry about paying for things. Tom knew that it may not be worth it to most people, but for him this was his only real chance at a happy life.
