Technology is advancing extremely fast and is playing a major role in education and medicine. The internet is a spectacular place of learning, where there is an answer to our questions. It helps us research medical science such as new concepts, theories and body functions.
Technology helps students learn while they are at school. It helps students research topics and answer questions, even my school made the decision to adopt iPads as a new learning resource. Using technology to learn makes it much more enjoyable to do some of the most boring work. More and more schools are using technology as learning equipment to make learning more enjoyable and so much easier.
Technology has also assisted in saving the lives of thousands of people. Technology not only helps finding cures for disease, but as well assists surgeons while they operate on a person. If technology keeps advancing we will soon see incurable diseases, such as cancer, as a disease that is cured easily and effectively. Medical technology is no doubt, a great thing and once it advances it will assist doctors in performing amazing feats.
Some people may argue that when using technology students will break the rules and not do what the devices are meant to be doing. Students are responsible enough to be trusted to do the work they are assigned, with the assistance of an electronic device. The schools that do believe in using technology to assist students, put rules in place to discipline students doing the wrong thing. If a child decides to break the rules then they will miss out on an education, so if they get a bad mark it will be their own fault for using their resources incorrectly. Students marks reflect on the way they used the technology, so they're effectively deciding what grade they receive by the way they use their device.
