Introduction:
This term we have been studying Figueroa’s framework, to map out an individual success, in touch football. Figueroa’s framework is a framework that the sociology of sport is based on. There are five levels in which this framework is based on. Those levels include: •cultural level,
•structural level,
•institutional level,
•interpersonal level
•Individual level.
Touch football is a game that is widely played throughout Australia on a social and completive level. There are a number of factors that influence the participation in touch football, and many of these are highlighted in Figueroa’s framework, equity and access.
There are many opportunities to play Touch football in Bundaberg. Within these opportunities the sport has a great number of positive advantages attached to it, however there are also a number of challenges that impact of full participation within this sport.
