It is said that American officers are some of the best trained within the world. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) Census, basic recruit training can last around 21 weeks. Now, after training the next thing to do is field training, even after graduation, depending on what one wants to do, there is still a chance they would have to continue to put in more studies.
