Organization Structure
My role as Managing director in this firm is to develop, design and implement the strategic plan for their company in the most time efficient and cost effective manner. The Managing director is responsible for developing business plans for the long term future of the organization and also the day-to-day running of the company and accountable to the shareholders and the board of the company. Managing director in a company or an organization organizes daily operation and managing committees. The managing director is answerable to the board president. He is also entitled to motivate and mentor members and may chair meetings.
Other than that, the role of a managing director is to create, strategize and put into action the company’s strategic plan in a way that is the most effective to the company in terms of finances, time and growth of the company. The managing director is charged with the daily management of the company and creating and developing the business plans required for the long term sustainability of the business. He is answerable to the shareholders and the board of directors of the company.
The managing director is the most senior full-time executive of the company except when there is an executive chairman. The role of managing director and chief executive are virtually the same. The managing director or chief executive is responsible for the performance of the company, as dictated by the board’s overall strategy. He or she reports to the chairman or board of directors.
Responsibilities include: formulating and successfully implementing company policy directing strategy towards the profitable growth and operation of the company developing strategic operating plans that reflect the longer-term objectives and priorities established by the board maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the chairman of the board putting in place
