Seeing the first trailer air in November of 2011, many initial thoughts and opinions began to surface on how good this movie was going to be. In the first trailer, the lead, Katniss Everdeen, is faced with extremely difficult situations like being separated from her family, having to fight for her life, and being sent to a place that she had no idea of. But instead of crying throughout every moment and portraying herself as a weak individual she did quite the opposite. She was strong and focused, even for the whole duration of the trailer it is seen how she handles each situation with fearlessness. This is one example on how the transcendentalism idea of non-conformity and self-reliance play part in the movie. She is sure of herself and confidence in her knowledge. Not to mention, the music used for the commercial really enhanced that idea. In the beginning of the commercial, the music was a very soft and suddle instrumental and as she began facing her trials the instrumental would increase in volume and in intensity.
