People want to have a purpose in the things that they do; so creating and communicating an inspiring vision helps to give them value in what they are doing and inspires them to work harder towards goals. Once a vision has been created, the leader must ensure that this vision in consistently communicated to team members. This allows people to stay motivated and to align their personal goals with the goals of the team and the organization. Once the vision has been created and communicated and people have bought into it, the leader needs to start to implement actions steps that will help the team to achieve the vision. This often results in the development of new and innovative processes and tools. Transformational leaders focus on their people and work along with them to help them to achieve their goals. By promoting self-development and growth, these leaders ensure that their people are constantly upgrading their capabilities. When people have improved their capabilities, they are able to undertake greater responsibilities and the leader is able to give them greater authority.
