Turbine blade
Turbine blades used in jet engines can be made from such materials as nickel-based superalloys. We can, in principle, even use ceramic materials such as zirconia or other alloys based on steels. In some cases, the blades may have to be coated with a thermal barrier coating (TBC) to minimize exposure of the blade material to high temperatures.
Locomotive vehicles on railway are connected together by a linked mechanism system of a coupling. The first time, we used a chain and a screw type coupler. They are not used in these days because problem of safety and new technology.
Now days, common use an automatic coupler such as A knuckle type coupler (or Janney coupler) and a SA3 coupler. For required many purpose and functions, It has been developed various types and multi functioned of couplers such as full automatic coupler, electric coupler still now.
- Properties required Knuckle coupler needs these properties. i. Physical - High Density ii. Chemical - High Corrosion resistance, High Oxidation resistance iii. Mechanical - High Strength, Hardness, Toughness iv. Economic – Low cost

Wherever the railroad was, the people and towns would follow (“Kimbrough”). Once they started building more and more railroads, the Americans needed something to make the track go more smoothly. “Several other innovations helped foster the growth of railroads between 1840 and 1860. These included T-shaped rails that distributed the weight of trains evenly and hook-headed spikes that grabbed the rail, thus attaching it securely to the crossties” (“Kimbrough”). The railroad system was not evolving enough to keep up with human settlement.…

Without the invention of the Locomotive, many vehicles that are very common today for humanity such as cars, buses and trains may not have existed because the locomotive was innovated off in the future to create machinery used in today’s transportation. Therefore it can be said that the invention of the locomotive spread quickly to other nations and inspired many other inventors. The invention also led the town of Dartford to grow rapidly as that is where it was tested. 1. “Richard Trevithick: The inventor of the locomotive“Dartford Tech”, date accessed 7th March 2017 2.…

Train industry was one of the most important industries in the modern human culture since it was a very useful way to transport goods and people, which was the concern of many scientists in the last 2000 years. Matthew Murray and George Stephenson made great contributions in the train industry. Matthew invented the first steam powered locomotive train while George came up with the idea of coal transporting trains. Old trains were depending on steam for power. In 1829, the Rocket was the first steam locomotive train built and it carried passengers between Liverpool and Manchester in England. In 1940s, another steam train was built but with very strong engines that it could pull freight trains with hundreds of cars of cargo across the United…

Also, the steam engine has played great role in the field of transportation. Steam wagon was used to transport goods from one place to another. Coal wagons were moved through the rails because rails reduced the frictional force and requires less effort to pull heavy loads. In 1825, George Stephenson developed heavy locomotive. Most of the private companies worked hard to build more rails after the successful completion of the railroad line from Liverpool to Manchester. The railroads minimized the cost of the overland shipping.…

One of these inventions is PTC. It stands for Positive Train Control. PTC, Created by Jeff Young and his team, is a GPS-based technology used to prevent train-to-train collisions, over speed derailments, unauthorized incursion into work zones and train movement through switches left in the wrong position (Switches that are left in the wrong position will cause a train to deviate onto the wrong track. When this happens, a train runs the risk of colliding with another train or even derailing since it is going at a speed that is inconsistent with the unexpected course the train deviates…
