DR. A.P.J. ABDUL KALAM
Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, is an Indian scientist and administrator who served as the 11th President of
India from 2002-2007
Kalam was born and raised in Rameswaram, Tamil
Nadu
He was specialized in aerospace Engineering from
Madras Institute of Technology (MIT)
Dr Kalam made significant contribution as project
Director to develop India’s 1st satellite launch vehicle
(SLV-III) which successfully injected the rohini satellite in near orbit in July 1980
Ninth Lecture at Anna University
On 10th June 2002 at Anna university , where he had been working since 2001 enjoying His time with large , tranquil campus, working with professors and inquisitive students on research Projects .
The authorized strength of his class was 60 students but every lecture, the classroom was filled with 350 students . His purpose was to understand the aspiration of the youth , share his experience & evolve approaches for the apps of technology for societal transformation through a specially designed course of ten lectures for PG students.
The PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee with agreement with coalition party NDA and Indian national congress mutalley agreed
Kalam to be in Presidential elections but Abdul kalam took plenty time to decide on same.
