Twenty-3 Lines Of Romeo And Juliet

Weeks of preparation, stress, and hard work leading up to this moment, and suddenly my mind goes completely blank. Twenty-three lines of Romeo and Juliet, word for word. I chose mine to be about the moment when Friar Lawrence tells Romeo that he is banished from Verona and his dramatic reaction. I chose the lines that I did because it stuck out to me how my lines had a sort of flow to it, which was appealing to me. As if there were paragraphs of words that simply made sense to me. I also believed that I could successfully present these lines to my classmates. The experience of preparing my presentation was rather stressful, especially on top of preparing for midterms, but overall very rewarding. Although preparing my Romeo and Juliet lines were stressful to prepare, I found it enjoyable in some ways and would absolutely recommend it for future students.
In my lines, Romeo was just told he was banished from Verona, and as to be expected he is very upset. Romeo feels as if this is the end of the world because a life without Juliet is a life not worth living according to Romeo. Romeo explains his exile to be torture, and everything but mercy, as he says “'Tis torture and not mercy. Heaven is here, Where Juliet lives”. This leads Romeo to make up a risky plan that results in the suicides of both Romeo and Juliet. All of this intrigued me and I decided to look into it, and eventually decided that these were the lines that I wanted to
