As we you see from above ,we have described the population of team. However, all of teams are not in a constant type around our life. There are four common types :problem solving teams ,self-managed teams, cross function teams and virtual teams.
Problem solving teams
According to the letter, we can find, in order to resolve issues a organization will build this kind of team. There are difference number of members based on the size of the organization. In the problem solving team, members put forward their ideas and suggestions about how to do the work and improve the way of action or presume what situation will come about and the methods of work out .
Self managed teams
Self managed teams are widely used among many organization. It need students and employees to be controled by themselves.For instance, lecturer require students to complete the assignment through teamwork. In this case, students need search members to build a team, select a leader, make a plan, distribute jobs and sum up the whole essay by themselves. It not only need self managed but can also control the whole situation .
Cross functional teams
The define of cross functional teams are made up of workers from same hierarchical, but from diverse work areas to share the information, ideas, suggestion, the methods of resolve issues and coordinate complex projects. Such as many MNCs :Toyota, Honda, Nissan, BMW, GM, Ford and so on. Cross functional team is an efficiency way to accomplish a task. Nevertheless, it is not easy to manage, it need to build the trust and the spirit of teamwork. And comprehend various cultural, background and point of view.
Virtual teams
This is the modern way to create a team. It need social media platform, like wide-area networks ,video conferencing, or e-mail.Although members are not in a room, it can do everything what other types team do .
Although there are variety types of team, it is mostly in order to increase work efficiency and effectively.
