Internet, give them incentive to come back.” According to the advice, in order to promote the USPS, they should try to use coupons that can let people save their money, but come back to the USPS.
Since this community is a “coupon-cutting society”, people want to have a good deal to come back to the same place and that's what the USPS should do to increase customer satisfaction. Besides just delivering packages with objects in it, the USPS also sends out cards and mail. In the article “Sending Getting ‘Real’ Mail Still Magic” by Kevin Cullen, he explains how getting a letter in the mailbox is one hundred times better than getting it through email. She shares a personal story by describing having “shoe boxes filled with kind letters sent to [him] through the years by readers...many friendships began that way.” In Cullen’s point of view, a mail sent from the USPS can be kept for
eternity, unlike emails. Another very useful thing about the USPS is that it is not just for the citizens in the community, but it’s also “an essential government function, like feeding the Army.” This is an important factor for the Army because anyone can hack into the computer and see what is happening to a country . So, without the SUPS, it won’t do any good to the society. Even though some people wants to help improve the USPS, others says that there is no point in trying to save the mail shop. In a national newspaper article written by Ed O’Keete, he writes about how no matter what people try to do to save the USPS, they are already at a loss. According to O’Keete, “the Postal Service experienced a 13 percent drop in volume and...without drastic changes, the mail agence will face even more staggering losses.” What O’Keete is trying to point out is that it would take a lot of sacrifices in order to protect the postal service. But with a lot of obstacles in their way, it would be hard. As a result, the USPS should try to change their ways in order to adapt to the changing society. In order to make it happen, many changes need to be done, like using coupons and using it for wars.
