Ultra Thin Cloak Can Match Any Background!

In the Movie Predator there was an Alien that would uses a Cloaking Device that would hide the Alien in Plain Sight, But the effect is far from Perfect, due to its attempt to conceal itself is Thwarted from the distortion of Light bending around it. Now, Researchers built an Ultrathin “Invisibility Cloak” that Gets around the Problem of Light Bending by turning objects into Flat, Perfect mirrors. Invisibility Cloaks are Designed to bend light around an Object, but materials that do this are typically difficult to shape and only would work in Narrow Angles. If you would walk around a object that is cloaked it would be Visible, But the new cloak would make the cloaked object stay Invisible and the cloak is Very flexible and Thin so it could be wrapped around an object of any Shape. The Cloak is able to be Tuned to match any whatever background is behind it and the Cloak is able to create Illusions of what’s there.

Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, The group constructed a thin film consisting of a 50 Nanometer thick layer of Magnesium Fluoride topped by a varying pattern of tiny, Brick shaped-gold Antennas, Each brick is 30 Nanometers Thick (An Average human strand of hair is 100,000 Nanometers Thick) These Bricks were built in many different sizes, The Brick could be 30 to 220 Nanometers long and could be 90 to 175 Nanometers Wide. The Scientist then wrapped up a Tiny, Irregular shaped object measuring about 36 Microns across, Or a bit more than One thousandth of an Inch. Shining a Light, with a Wavelength of 730 Nanometers, or Near-Infrared, They found out that they Reflect back almost perfectly. The light scattering from the Cloak still bounced off the Object, But without revealing where the Object was-As though there just a flat mirror in its Place. The tiny object appeared to be Invisible because the gold Antennas controlled the light that reflects off of it. Ordinarily, Light reflecting off a Object will scatter at least a little, Especially if the shape is Irregular. The waves of the light will sometimes create Interference patterns. As a result, Reflected light appears as light, or Colors, depending on the Object.

With the proper Tuning of the Gold Bricks, It’s not hard to make the reflected light look like anything you want, If the Cloak is tuned perfectly it could turn into any background or something entirely different.
If the Cloak was big enough it could drape over everything (Theoretically). An example would be that you could cover a whole Tank with the Cloak and make it look like a Bicycle. The Gold bricks reflect the light in such a way that the Light Phase and Frequency are both Preserve. The ultrathin cloak creates an Effect that makes it look like the light was hitting a perfect Mirror and the Cloak and the Object wasn’t even there. Even the Edges are Invisible with the new Device. The reflection trick can work on any Object with any Shape or Angle. It can be Wrapped around anything and the effects still works. Its also very light and thin. There is a Disadvantage, If someone is using the Cloak they had to stay still to Tune it right to match the
Background.
