Unbroken Movie Analysis
Hollywood vs. Fact- Unbroken vs. Louis’s Story In the movie Unbroken directed by Angelina Jolie, there are many obvious differences from the actual factual events that took place. A lot of important details about Louis Zamperini’s life were left out in the movie. There are many reasons for this, which are arguably very important. The three biggest things that were left out of the movie are, the realization that Louis came to about his faith in God, Japanese guards actually treated Louis very well when he first was captured, and Louis actually came face to face with Adolf Hitler. All three of these things were left out of the movie for specific reasons, which Hollywood thought would boost ratings and amount of viewers. The first important …show more content…
They were given good food, and good clothes. The reason for not including this in the movie is that Angelina Jolie wants to make the Japanese look as bad as possible. She only wants her viewers to see the torment that they put Louis and his comrades through. By making the Japanese look more brutal than they actually were, it increases plot, drama and most importantly conflict in the movie. The third most important detail that was left out of the movie was the time when Louis met Adolf Hitler. He met him at the Olympics in Berlin. Hitler said to Louis “Ah, you’re the boy with the fast finish”. This detail may have been left out of the movie because the focus of the movie was on the Pacific front. Angelina Jolie leaves this out of the movie because she does not want to stray away from the movie’s plot, which is almost entirely on the Pacific front of World War 2. By Louis meeting Hitler, it could cause some confusion among viewers of the movie as to who Louis was actually fighting against. Overall, the movie Unbroken has many differences from the real life, but all of the changes made to the movie were put into a place for a specific reason to attract more viewers, and make more

Zamperini's plane went down in the Pacific Ocean and he and two other survivors drifted over 40 days living on rainwater and the occasional fish or bird they could catch. One of the crash survivors died on the raft. Zamperini and the other survivor, the plane's pilot, were finally nearing land when they were captured by the Japanese navy. Anne Frank Book vs Movie

In the movie Anne Frank it was very interesting. At first I noticed it really wasn’t the same as the book. The Van Danns had different last names and some people changed. I thought that the movie was good because I could see how everything was and I was able to have a picture in my head of what was going on. I liked seeing how it was back then and what they went through. In the beginning of the movie and book Anne was pretty wealthy. Once the war started they went into hiding with the “Van Danns” and the dentist “Mr.Drussel”. After hiding for a while the war was soon about to end. Anne waited for this day for a long time. She couldn’t wait to see her friends again and she wanted to get her diary published. Just before the war was over the Germans caught them. They were taken to a concentration camp. They thought it was ok and they kept their hopes up until they were all called to get sent to another one. This was a life and death situation now. Were you going to live or die? When they arrived to this place they were thrown harshly off of the trains and onto the ground as they were separated. Anne was separated from her father Pim who she loved dearly. She went off with her mother and Margot. They were forced to take everything off of them. They’re jewelry and clothes, and this after they were cruelly branded. I think that this was very mean. The overall movie was good though it was interesting and almost exciting to see what would happen to them next. I’m glad I got an opportunity to see both the video and read the…

Although the movie was close to the truth it also did a good job with mixing fact with fiction. Lee played a large part in our history and is recognized still to this day. She was a very promiscuous woman, and the movie makes it seem like she was the only women like that. The movie also twists around the story leaving out important details. It is not half as detailed as the book, and it focuses too much on her and her sexual life. The movie leaves out more important facts such as, how other workers felt and the pain people went…
