The Bo tribe went extinct from either disease or being killed when the British colonized their home. The British tried to civilize them by capturing them and putting them in a special home. Sadly, all of the children born in the home died before the age of two. There last member Boa Sr, died, and with her their language and culture died. (SurvivalInternational) The Awa or Guaja is an endangered indigenous tribe in Brazil. They had around 350 members and 100 of them have had no contact with the outside world. Their numbers have dropped down to 300 due to killings and land invasion. An eight-year-old girl wandered from her village and was burned alive. People are trying to drive them out of their land, and do that by either scaring them or killing them. “The girl had been killed as a warning to other native peoples living in the protected area.” About 450 indigenous people were murdered between 2003 and 2010, and loggers destroyed the Awa camp.
