Introduction
In light of sniper shootings being on the rise for instance in the Washington area, four states are taking serious consideration in a new technology of creating a ballistic fingerprinting system enabling law enforcement the ability to trace shell casings found at crime scenes back to the maker and or buyer of the fire arm used.
