“He pops it, the deadly point punching through the fabric of the straitjacket, and swivels around to stab the blade right at the man’s heart.” He is just talking about what he is doing, so it it the boring part. “The one-eyed boy grunts bitterly, disappointed at the lack of satisfaction.” This shows how the book is boring, and the students are not going to like a boring book.
There are too much violence that happened during the book. “I hack the Voron dagger into the side of his neck, right at the scar. Setrákus Ra gurgles. I slice again.” There are so much violence that there are even murdering people now. “Phiri drives the tentacle into the underside of Mark’s jaw and through the top of his head.” It is another sign of violence. The teacher may not want any or too much violence in the book the class is reading, so it makes it not a good book to be a class novel.
There are too many things the teacher doesn't want in the book. The surplus of curse words, the boringness, and a little too much violence. The characters are speaking with too many curse words. A lot of parts in the book are boring. Last but not least, the book is filled with too much violence for the readers. With the three reasons, the book shows that it should not be a book that is being read to the class as a class
