Personal Responsibility and Accountability
This is my 2500 word essay about responsibility and keeping accountability of my personal equiptment. Responsibility the state or fact of being accountable or to blame for something. Personal responsibility is demonstrating your follow-through initiative and a personal commitment to being accountable to your personal belongings. Being responsible in the US Army has got to be of the utmost importance in my opinion. Being unrespossible of your property can lead to a secrurity breach or worse. Soldiers must be and act responsibly in every situation they may find themselves in, whether it’s in or out of uniform. Forgetting my wallet at work is a good example of not being resposible of my personal belongings.
My wallet is a very important part of being in the military. If i forget my wallet somewhere were people can get it. Its basically like handing my life over to them. It has badges and such to get into secure compounds. It has my bank cards which they could then get into my finances, a call roster which has over 70 names and number to which would lead to people being prank called and so on and so forth. My wallet also has my driver license so people can know my name and where i live. There are thing people dont think about when they have there wallet on them but when they lose, forget, or leave it somewhere it can cause mayhem inside your company to make sure there isent a security breach.
Being a well maintained soldier is your duty and responsibility to yourself, your crew, your platoon, your company, and your unit. Dangers can come if you are not responsible of your things. If there was a security breach into a secret building could be catastrophic to the security of the united states. If you do forget your wallet or equiptment you should tell someone as soon as possible so you dont put your crew or anyone in danger. As a junior enlisted soldier you have very minimal responsibility such as taking care
