The United States government plays a vital role in the structure and flow of society. Although there may be some discrepancies amongst certain political leaders in the past, the government has provided society a foundation to build off of. From the moment the first American man stepped on the moon in 1969 to the Civil Rights Movement, the government has been a very powerful force in helping shape American society. Since almost or nearly all of those who reside in the United States have been affected by the government, the government is in charge of various organizations and systems that help organize, maintain structure, and implement what the people want into laws.
