Value Stream Analysis
As an Acting Administrative Officer for Surgery, I have developed and executed the value stream analysis for the utilization, productivity and efficiency of the existing operating room within the medical center. This VSA was completed in conjunction with the construction of a new wing for three operating rooms. Assisted in the evaluation and completed over 60 surgeons pay compensation to ensure recruitment and retention.
• Conducted a background review of the activity and of the characteristics of the work process that had life threatening implications to active duty and civil service personnel.
• Performed walk-throughs and conducted comprehensive surveys to identify potential health hazards, and collected samples to evaluate the presence of toxic materials where potential hazards are indicated.

• Routinely advised and briefed organizational senior officials, department heads and other responsible personnel with recommendations to improve worker health and reduce costly disease incidence.
• Participate in special studies related to a specific occupational health problem.
• Led design services in support of multimillion dollar construction projects as part of project team. This effort resulted in the timely production of detailed and accurate construction documents per project scope. As part of the design team I conceptualized mixed-use Master Plans to meet project goals.
• Effectively advised on project updates to other project team members, state and federal agencies to secured permits and project approval as needed.
