Executive Summary for Dispatch Management System
The Problem: Delay in receiving SMS (Short Message Service) through mobile after a HDFC bank customer does transactions. Many of the customers who are using HDFC bank are facing the problem of delayed SMS after transactions are done through online, ATM’s, etc.
The Need: The changes in the current system will help all the existing and new customers of HDFC bank because there will be no delay in receiving the SMS after a transaction is made. This will also help the bank in increasing their customer base due to the quick messaging service that the bank is offering to customers.
The Company: ABC is IT services company that offer services to many banking clients, marketing companies through the Dispatch management system. Dispatch management system is a system that will send SMS to all the customers once a transaction is done related to their account if the person is having a bank account. The system also sends promotional and marketing SMS to people based on the marketing companies needs. The company mission statement is to provide SMS services to all the banking users without any delay in time in receiving SMS related to their bank transactions.
The Solution: The delay in delivery of SMS is caused due to the blocking and overflow of messages in the Dispatch Management system. The reason for this delay is DM system divided the SMS in to different types like priority, promotional, marketing etc. The priority SMS should send first by the system as the customer need the transaction details as soon as transaction is completed. When there are no priority SMS the system is processing promotional SMS, suddenly a bunch of priority SMS comes in to the DM system loop, as there are already promotional SMS in loop the system is waiting to complete the loop of promotional SMS then after that it is starting to
