Vince Lombardi was a very influential person to the NFL and football overall. He is the reason why every football team now works very hard. A famous quote that Vince once said was “The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will.” this show that he knows that hard work and courage is the only thing u need to be successful. His result in coaching was very successful. His team was NFL champions 3 times and super bowl champions 2 times. Before he was a coach the NFL’s players didn’t work that hard but when Vince made his players work hard they did very good so every team started working hard and made their players disciplined. His team was the first to win the super bowl. Vince Lombardi changed the NFL. If it wasn’t for Vince Lombardi then the NFL wouldn’t be the same today. the United States wouldn’t be the same also because the U.S. supports and watches football as one of the best sports. It is also one of the most popular sports to watch in the U.S.A.
Vince Lombardi was born on June 11, 1913 in Brooklyn New York. His father’s name was Harry Lombardi. He was known as a big-hearted man. He wanted his kids to have everything he didn’t when he was a kid because he didn’t have anything and he knew how it felt. His mother’s name was Matilda. She encouraged her kids to get a good education which helped Vince get a college education. They lived in a comfortable home they also appreciated all of the little things in life. Harry always told Vince that hard work pays off. Vince helped his father at a butcher shop that his father owned at a very young age. When Vince was a teen he fell in love with sports. He would always try to take his friends to watch the Giants football games. He would also play backyard football games with his friends. After 8th grade he went to Cathedral College of the Immaculate
