Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scale-2 Summary
The Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scale-II (VASB-II) was completed by Leyla’s mother to determine Leyla’s daily functioning skills. More specifically, these daily skills are necessary to get along with others and taking care of oneself. The VASB-II included domains in communication, daily living, and socialization. Leyla’s mother spoke with the evaluator about Leyla’s functioning skills at home, at school, and in the community. Leyla achieved a standard score of 113, which is in the Adequate adaptive level at the 81st percentile. This means that Leyla performed equal to or greater than 81 percent of her same aged peers. The responses that were provided appear to be a reliable and valid summary of Leyla’s present adaptive behavior skills. The …show more content…
Leyla achieved a standard score of 120, which is in the Moderately High adaptive level at the 91st percentile. Leyla’s adaptive level in personal skills is within the High range, signifying strength for her in this ability. This means she can eat, dress, and apply hygiene without any assistance. In this skill, Leyla has been more independent after her sister was born. Leyla’s adaptive level in domestic skills is within Adequate range, but signifies a weakness for her in this ability. This means Leyla has difficulty with completing chores around the house when needed. Leyla’s adaptive level in community skills is within the Moderately High range, meaning she can tell and manage time, manage money, use the telephone/cellphone, and use the computer without assistance. The last domain is socialization skills, which measured Leyla’s ability in interpersonal relationships, play and leisure time, and coping skills. Leyla achieved a standard score of 120, which is in the Adequate adaptive level at the 63rd percentile. Leyla’s adaptive levels in these skills are within Adequate range, meaning she can interact, play fairly, and has sensitivity towards others. Leyla’s mother provided accurate information that contributes to Leyla’s typical developed adaptive behavior

In assessing these, we will still discuss how her strengths will help her overcome these negative circumstances. The third quadrant is deficits or obstacles and environmental factors. Lorene’s oldest brother, who is 19, is still living at home with the family. He has been in trouble with the law and is on probation.
