I want to believe what we can stop violence. I want to believe in that because I am a human, not a wild animal. In our life we are always have a choice when we grow up. We can choose whatever we want , also we can choose our profession, food, favorite colors. And then we can choose the path to achieve our goals. Unfortunately some of us choose the wrong way, the way with violence .
Why people do this? Why violence it is part of our life? Because people have a lot of natural energy and this energy moving of them. But usually they are cannot control this energy. That’s why sometimes we are going a bad things and behavior. Why we are so angry to each other? A lot of reasons: teenagers always have a lot of energy because they are young, strong. In this age hormones with adrenaline form a dangerous “mix” and with a bad background they are choosing a wrong way.
In “ Substitute” Ken Tangvik tells us a story about young man Jamal. In his situation he did not have a choice in what area he want to live , in what school he want to study because his family was not a rich. His mother was in a jail, his father disappeared years before. Jamal lived with his uncle who had physically abused him. School where he studied: Had gained a notorious reputation as a dangerous and failing urban school. Ninety percent of the students were low-income African-Americans and Latinos”. Of course of around him all the time happening violence, students fight for power, they are so angry and they are don’t know what to do with this anger. So, what he need to do to survive in this situation, in this “world?” Show to all that he is strong , he needs to fight for power. Fight for power on streets where he is living, “fight” for power in school where he is studying. He must to have a strong reputation as a powerful and dangerous guy or he can die, because if he shows his weakness, others can “eat” him. That is why his reputation for him it’s “a bad deal
