You cannot rid yourself of free will and even if you currently volunteer yourself into slavery, your future self could change your mind and want out. At this point you are no longer a volunteer but forced to be held. Thus, the term volunteer slave is contradictory at best and in no way can be used in a legal contract. However, it is incumbent on the civil society to set the stage for this idea to be unheard of. Societies or governments should set up healthcare, provide educational opportunities, and pass laws that encourage safe and fair working conditions that eliminate the need to give or sell one’s self into bondage. If someone was to feel the need to sell themselves into slavery then society and the government around it has failed as a whole and will eventually
